Dennis Okari Finally Leaves NTV. Here’s His Farewell Message

Last week, we told you that bold and talented investigative journalist, Dennis Okari, is departing from NTV after 7months of service. This afternoon, the Senior Investigative and Crime reporter has finally taken a bow out of the “twin towers”.

Okari resigned a month ago and today is his last day as an NMG employee.

In a post on social media, Okari was grateful to everyone who has supported his work for the entire 13 years he’s been in the trade.

Here’s his post;

FAREWELL: It is with great pride but sad note that I’m posting this message .

It has been a great joy working for Nation Media Group – NTV as a Senior Investigative and Crime reporter.Like everything else in this life, my time has come to an end.

My last day at NTV is today after I resigned a month ago. I wish to thank all my friends here, fans, family and colleagues in the industry who followed my stories and my career path.

I have worked with KBC, Metro FM, TBN – Family media, Barakafm, KTN,Kiss TV, NTV and now it’s time to spread my wings to a global audience.

I am joining BBC World. I leave the local scene with my head held high that in my very small way through my stories, I was able to make a small difference.
I look forward to my next big challenge but will carry with me fond memories of those I interacted with. Those who took time to call me, text, email or share story ideas. Thank you.

NTV is the best newsroom any journalist would want to work in and I will miss my colleagues.

I will continue telling the Kenya (African) story to the world.

God bless you all!

 Ghafla! wishes him all the best 🙂
