Election Fever: Siaya County Governor’s Face Plastered All over Examination Papers

Kenyans on social media are perplexed with Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga’s decision to put his face on the cover of mock examination papers.

A move that has been seen as a desperate bid for votes during the upcoming gubernatorial elections.

The County Education minister Pamela Okello says that there is an explanation for all this, she says that the move has done to ensure that the student taking the exams know their governor and have a “closer relation with him.”

She also said that “We are in the process of boosting the performance of our pupils in the next national examination. It is also a campaign tactic by Governor Rasanga for the next general elections.”

As Nairobi News reports, the Country government splashed a cool Sh1.7 million on the now controversial mock exams.
