EXCLUSIVE: Citizen TV Heading for Major Reshuffle

Kenya’s leading TV station, Citizen TV, seems to be heading for a major shake-up as the top management at the SK Macharia owned television station earlier in the week discussed promotions for some key managers at the station.

According to very reliable and high-level sources at the leading TV station, at least three officers have been lined up for promotion to the level of senior management.

Among them is the meticulous Group Editorial Director, Faridah Karoney, who has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer, a newly created role.

In her new role, she will provide leadership in the following functions and departments;

• Operations
• Human Resources
• Purchasing
• Information Systems
• Editorial

 

• TV Production

 

• Technical &
• Digital Media

As the COO, Karoney will now report to the Managing Director and the CEO. Working closely with other directors of the company, she will assist the CEO in the development of company policies and goals to better position the organization to exploit emerging opportunities.

The other two bigwigs are Kabutha Nduati who has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer while Patrick Ndeda has joined the company as the Sales and Advertising Director.
