Former KBC anchor talks about managing Sauti Soul before they hired Czech Republic’s Marek Fuchs… She organized their first concert in 2008

Before the fame and money, Kenya’s most successful music group, Sauti Sol, was being managed by former KBC news anchor.

The group which comprises of Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, Savara Mudigi and Polycarp Otieno are the most sough-after musicians in Kenya; they boasts of international recognitions such as MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act and MTV Africa Music Award for Best Group.

Sauti Sol’s success is partly attributed to their Czech manager Marek Fuchs.

Njambi reminisced about her days managing Sauti Sol, she recounted how she organized Sauti Sol’s first ever show which went down in 2008.

“A couple of years ago while managing Sauti Sol….that first show was everything. I journal everything I go through. Was praying to meet the German ambassador then who had organised the Kikwetu Festival, never happened. But the boys are now superstars!!!” Njambi wrote.
