FREE CONCERT: East Africa’s Biggest Stars Converge This Weekend

One day to the biggest Festival this year, the Sawa Sawa Festival, 2013.

The music extravaganza goes down this Saturday from 10.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. at the Arboretum, Nairobi. Entrance is absolutely FREE!

Artists on the main stage will include Sarabi (Kenya), Dela (Kenya), Kidum (Kenya and Burundi), Ras Kayaga (Rwanda), Jacky Chandiru (Uganda), Sarakasi Allstars (dance and acrobats from Kenya).

The second stage will be set for the acoustic musicians including SLUM DRUMMERS, REGGEA HOUR with artists like Baffu Chaffu, Black Omolo, Levysill, Meekie Humble, Huthead, Freeman and Jahises/Jahpillar.

The HIP HOP HOUR on the same stage includes Nafsi Huru, Flamez and Smallz Lethal of Washamba Wenza. VARIOUS ARTISTS HOUR include OLITH, WATERFALL, MUTINDA , SAM ONDIEKI amongst others as well as our upcoming artists from SOUND IN MOTION HOUR.

The third stage will feature dancers and circus from Sarakasi dancers and acrobats.

Windsor Golf Club will be selling food and drinks, so bring your shukas, and umbrellas to this festival, a solid plan for your family and friends. Children play area will include art workshops, face painting, animal rides, interactive workshops and jumping areas.

The DJs will include VJ Space (MOB), Joe Mfalme (Capital FM), Allstar DJs and the emcees will include: Anto Neo-soul and Anyiko Owoko. We’ll see you there at a befitting East African celebration of Kenya at 50.
