Ghafla! and Sheng Nation Teach Copy Paste Bloggers A Lesson

Recently one of my colleagues, Uncle Chim Tuna called out all copy pasting bloggers and asked them to credit Ghafla!Kenya for the work they copy. After this the copy pasting reduced among local online news outlets but did not stop. But now Sheng Nation and Ghafla.co.ke might have found a solution to this terrible affliction suffered by most online and offline writers.

A few weeks back Ghafla! and Sheng Nation got into a content syndication agreement. For laymen and women, this is an agreement where authors allow their work to be reposted in other websites/blogs/newspapers other than their own. This means that from now on you’ll see articles written in Sheng langage on Ghafla.co.ke and Ghafla! News articles on Sheng.co.ke. Below is a screenshot of this article we did this morning that Sheng Nation has syndicated on their side.

After reading the full story HERE , a keen observer will note that there is a link back to Ghafla.co.ke at the end of the story. I hope Vibe Weekly Ghafla, Nairobi Wire Ghafla and even Kenyan Post Ghafla are taking notes at this point. There is an infinite space for entertainment blogs in Kenya that cannot be filled any time soon, and crediting other people’s work will not make you lose sleep at night bloggers. I am done!
