Trouble in the Mombasa Road media house has seen popular news anchors and reports flee KTN in search of other greener pastures.

So far, 12 journalists have already left KTN and joined both foreign owned media houses and local station.

Ian Wafula, Mohamed Muhamud and the dazzling Mwanaisha Chidzuga Joined K24 after exiting Standard Group.

Business and Sports desk aren’t anyway better; they have lost top talents like Bonney Tunya who is now an anchor with CNBC AFRICA, Joseph Bonyo also at CNBC AFRICA with youngster Micheal Gitonga.

In Sports, KTN lost Nicholas Mudimba who is the Head Producer of East Africa Sportsline, a show airing on Supersport powered by Nusu Nusu Production. Saddique Shabaan and Celetine Karoney joined CCTV AFRICA.

KTN reporters; Asha Mwilu, Catherine Omwadho and Wilkister Nyabwa also left the Mombasa Road media house.

Standard Group recently conducted a major shakeup that saw hundreds of its employees sent packing. The argument was that the company’s revenue was affected by digital migration forcing Standard Group to trim its bloated workforce.

Sources intimate that the Company is very broke and desperate that it has now decided to rehire fired staff and young talent for a salary of Kes 15,000.

John Allan Namu is also leaving KTN while his colleague at the investigative desk, Mohammed Ali, is also said to be leaving Standard Group.
