Governor Alfred Mutua On The Receiving End Of Derision From Kenyans For What He Did To Obama

Machakos Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua was on the spotlight over the weekend when US’ President Obama touched down at the JKIA for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.

The day that many Kenyans had religiously waited finally came and Obama alighted Air Force One at around 8:10 pm, to begin his three-day stay in the country.

But people don’t forget. And not just people but Kenyans.

Governor Alfred Mutua ate a humble pie when Obama jetted in as US President, his statement on Obama which he made 9 years ago coming back to harshly haunt him.

No one really minded about it until when the man who has been voted as the best governor was seen lining at the airport to bid Obama bye as he departed for Addis Ababa.

Kenyans quickly took to social media to remind Mutua how he despised Obama when he visited Kenya in 2006 as Senator of Illinois.

Mutua said then of Obama:

“He’s an inexperienced young man who cannot teach Kenya how to run her affairs…..he’s just a junior senator from Illinois state and cannot therefore speak on behalf of the United States”.

This was when Obama lectured the government on corruption when addressing a gathering at the University of Nairobi.

And now he is the most powerful  man  on earth. And Kenyans had this to tell Mutua:

Kevin Masika “He’s an inexperienced young man who cannot teach Kenya how to run her affairs…..he’s just a junior senator from Illinois state and cannot therefore speak on behalf of the United States”,then Government press secretary Alfred Mutua (in 2006) in reaction to Obama’s public lecture at University of Nairobi about high level corruption in the Kenyan government.,,,,,eating a humble pie!!!

Wallace Bauer Couldn’t believe My eyes when he was literally BEGGING FOR #POTUS ATTENTION AT JKIA. truly. ..who knows what he was trying to Convey to MR. PRESIDENT, ,,,, MARA ukambani kuna jua jingi. .serikali saidia, hakunyeshi..

Abdalah Mushefa Shame on u all defending mutuas actions of dat tym

Japheth Kitala I know Mutua was pleasing his boss but if he accepted by then that there was corruption and deal with it Iam sure the vice would have been tamed.

Kosimbo Ka’Aketch Colvin the best way to move forward is not forgetting your history, there are so many things you can learn. like this one is a life lesson we can not look down upon. WHEN YOU ARE IN POWER, NEVER DESPISE THOSE WHO ARE NOT.

Susan Oduor ‘He’s an inexperience young man who cannot teach kenya how to run its affairs’. Ehehehehe tables just turned, so now you can address him as the ‘President’? Wanaokudharau, siku moja watakusalimia kwa heshima.
