Habida announces her return into the music scene by taking a major swipe at Kenyan artists…this is what she thinks of them

Habida was the main guest in Mzazi Willy Tuva’s show on Citizen yesterday, 22nd March 2017 where they talked about a myriad of things.

The first thing was her long absentia from Kenya and the music scene in whole and secondly was her comeback which she promises will be the biggest thing to be witnessed this year.

And true to that, she had a couple of releases which I must say were quite dope.

She also talked about the Kenyan music scene and she had no kind to say about it. First of all she termed it as very complicated and difficult to penetrate but what most really got to her was the luck of support among the artists themselves.

She talked of how it’s difficult to get a fellow Kenyan artist to appear on your video without them asking to be paid or without them feeling like their presence will make your video go viral and surpass them.

She compared it to the South African scene where artist support and work together to ensure that their industry grows and feeds all of them.

She urged fellow Kenyan artists to embrace the same kind of mentality.
