George Barasa aka Joji Baro, the flamboyant and outspoken gay activist and gospel singer hardly gets much love from the public. However, his recent stance and actions during a public gathering to discuss Ezekiel Mutua’s planned bill earned him plenty of plaudits.

After his act, Ghafla! got close and personal with Joji Baro and part of what he opened up on was his personal life. For all his fame and rubble rousing antis, Joji Baro is a lonely soul inside.  He explained to us how difficult it has been for him to find love and be in a relationship.

The singer has stayed five years without being in a relationship saying his most recent could only last a week thus does not add up as a relationship. He was last in a relationship when he was a teenager.

According to Joji Baro, his society status and his outspoken personality contribute greatly to his lack of finding a soul mate. This he says is the biggest struggle he faces with rejection as potential mates fear their sexuality being revealed. He says all he wants is to get to feel the normal relationship things for granted.

He is however, confident he will settle down in the near future and also revealed the kind of person he looks forward to settle down with in the near future. Here is the video of the interview
