“I would make it so hard for Chris Brown to perform in Mombasa, that he would pray he never comes back” Senator Hassan Omar reveals his anger at Chris Brown’s concert in Mombasa along with his beef with Ali Kiba And Diamond performing at the coast

As everyone got thrilled with the performance and the drama that surrounded Chris Brown visit to Kenya, Senator Hassan Omar was seething.

His agony started even much earlier before the Chris Brown visit as he had also issue with the previous Diamond and Ali Kiba concert at the Coast. Such is his disappointment that he swore were he ever the Governor of Mombasa he would make sure Chris Brown never sets foot in Mombasa again. His gripe with the foreign artists is on the amount of money they are paid to perform vis-à-vis what local artistes are paid to perform.

Speaking on Jeff Koinange Live on KTN, the Senator said, “If you have that kind of money and committed to the growth of local artistes, you do not take Ali Kiba or Diamond and pay them Sh5 million and poo poo on local talent. The only festival, if I was to hold any in Mombasa, would be about promoting local talent,

“I would make it so hard for Chris Brown to perform in Mombasa, that he would pray he never comes back,” he added.

Given that Chris Brown is aid to have minted a cool 90 million from the performance, Senator Hassan Omar sentiments will echo with most especially local artistes. He has announced intentions to run in the forthcoming general elections for the governorship of Mombasa and it is interesting to see how his race with Ali Hassan Joho will turn out.
