IMAX’s Biggest Film Stuck At Customs. Senator Mike Sonko To The Rescue

IMAX planned to premier the highly anticipated Gravity last week, but a few hours to the first screening, they still weren’t sure whether it would happen.

“We had scheduled to premier Gravity 3D today 18th October at 7PM although our distributors have encountered a minor bump with its delivery, we still plan to premier it today if all goes well.”

Well, it didn’t happen. Neither did the premier take place on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and today. IMAX has now explained what the “minor bump” was and why the film still hasn’t been shown four days after the planned date.

“To our dear fans, we at IMAX wish you all a happy Mashujaa Day and a fun long weekend. We would also like to apologize for the delay of the premiere of GRAVITY.

We still do not have any information as to why we are not able to have the movie cleared from customs while all other cinema’s have it.

We have seeked the assistance of Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, who at this moment is working on it and IMAX Corporation to try and get to the bottom of this incident.

We Thank you all for your patience and understanding and we hope we will soon have the movie and you will all enjoy an amazing IMAX experience when you get to watch it.Thank you all”
