Is The AFRIMA Awards Where Willy Paul, Octopizzo, STL And Other Kenyan Artistes Have Been Nominated Genuine? See What They Did To Uganda’s Jose Chameleone

Kenyan artistes were elated last week when they were confronted with good news that they had been nominated for AFRIMA Awards which will go down in the US later this year.

Among those who found their names in the list of nominees for different categories include Willy Paul Msafi, Octopizzo, Jaguar, Stella Mwangi and Victoria Kimani.

The artistes quickly took to their social media accounts to announce the good news and request their ardent followers to help them win the awards they are nominated for by voting in large numbers.

It is an honour, you know, to land a nomination when everybody thinks your music is just horrible! These are not my words. It has been said before and this explains why some artistes find issues with Kenyan promoters when they play foreign music at the expense of the local music.

But as the excitement rages on amongst Kenyan artistes who were lucky to land the nomination, Uganda’s Dr. Jose Chameleone has picked a quarrel with the organisers of the awards and it seems he is not ready for anything from them.

The organisers had placed the East African King of music in the Dancehall music category, something that greatly angered Chameleone.

In response, the singer has blasted the organizers  saying they are allocating artistes in favour and therefore he is not ready for anything from them.

Instead, he has said that the Dancehall Music category should go to Nigeria’s Patoranking whom he believes has what it takes to be crowned.

Chameleone was a bit full of himself when he told the organizers not to tamper with his status as the King himself.

He said:

Can somebody please tell these Fellaz #AFRIMMA, that I ain’t a Dancehall artist?????????? These people should STOP Misallocating Artistes in Favour. “You can Kiss the Ring, You must not touch the Crown” pass the Award to@patorankingfire:::::>>>> @ShattaWale#Ghana stand up!!!!!!#VENOMOUS lets party.

Happy week to all positive minded friends.
