James Smart quits his job at KTN a few days after Mohammed Ali revealed media had been over-run by cartels

News reaching Ghafla! indicate that James Smart has quit KTN for good. Smart began his illustrious TV career at NTV before joining KTN; he’s the brainchild of the Trend.

Smart briefly left KTN in 2014 and travelled to the UK where he studied International Journalism MA at Cardiff University.

He returned on air last year before he finally resigned a few days ago. Smart hinted about his resignation on Twitter. Smart and Onsarigo left their fans guessing when they tweeted, one could easily tell there was something amiss at KTN from their tweets.

Inside source at KTN tells Ghafla! that Smart clashed with Helen Wanjiru- Deputy Managing editor. Helen is the second in command after Joe Ageyo who is the Managing Editor at KTN.

The source tells Ghafla! Helen Wanjiru is a ‘dictator’ who has forced many journalists to flee from the Mombasa Road-based media house out of frustration.

Ghafla! tried reaching Smart for comment but his phone wasn’t going through. His resignation comes as Mohammed Ali recently revealed that media had been over-run by cartels
