Matata Gives Kenyan Musicians Solution On Complaints About ‘Peanut’ Payments From MCSK

Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) has been under fire from artistes who are unhappy with their share of royalties.

The organisation came under attack from Kenyan artistes and their fans after it was discovered that they offered ‘peanuts’ to each of the musicians as royalties.

The outcry came after popular musicians such as Sauti Sol, Nyashinski, among others posted on their social media pages that they had received less or none of the money for their hard-earned work.

Matata’s Advice

It’s not the first time artists are complaining about MCSK.

But popular group ‘Matata’ have had their piece of advice to artists for their outcry. They have admonished them to move to International Publishers to make more money. Check the screenshot below;
