Areas KPLC announces power outages in
Kenya Power has announced a power shutdown in select areas of Nairobi on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The affected areas include:

- Kingdom Sacco
- Mt. Kenya
- Kimbo
- Mwana Mukia
- Clanne Academy
- Kassmatt
- Foundation Junior
- KWA DO
- Mukinye
- Army Barracks
- Sukari B
- Mwiki School
- Kimbo Police
- Part of Mwihoko
- Farmers Choice
- Part of Clay City
- Adjacent customers
Kenya Power has also announced the commencement of a Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) to clear the electricity meter connection backlog. The RRI aims to connect over 320,000 customers within 90 days. Currently, total pending new connections stand at 236,924.
