Bishop Margaret Wanjiru Accuses Govt Officials Of Demolishing Her Church & Sending Goons

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, leader of Jesus is Alive Ministries, claims her church was demolished by individuals claiming to represent Kenya Railways, leaving her injured. Wanjiru, a former gubernatorial candidate, accuses unnamed government officials of orchestrating the demolition despite her past support for the current administration.

“Nimepigwa, nimeumia mkono na mguu hata nataka kwenda hospitali, watu wangu pia wamepigwa wote, everyone is bleeding,” a teary-eyed Bishop Wanjiru told journalists.

“Hawa watu wametupiga leo wanasema wametumwa na Railways.”

This incident follows a dismissed court case in 2022 contesting the construction of a wall separating the church property from Kenya Railways land. Bishop Wanjiru, along with other parties, argued the wall obstructed access to several roads.

The demolition has ignited controversy, with Wanjiru alleging she was targeted due to her political affiliation. However, the specific details surrounding the demolition and the involvement of any government officials remain unclear.
