Bishop Margaret Wanjiru Warns Ruto, Gachagua Against Fighting Her

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru expressed anger and disappointment towards the Kenya Kwanza government in a video posted on Thursday, March 7th, 2024.

She accused President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of failing to protect her despite her strong support during the 2022 elections. The Bishop claimed police officers roughed her up inappropriately during the demolition of her church on Haile Selassie Avenue.

Wanjiru, visibly upset, declared that the government had initiated a conflict “they cannot win.” She warned those involved that they would face divine retribution.

“Let me be clear, President and Deputy President,” Wanjiru stated. “From this day on, this Margaret Wanjiru, who was assaulted, whose clothes were lifted by young policemen…they touched my thighs, a woman of God. Believe me, you will regret this. You went after Benny Hinn in America, but you will look for me. I’m not leaving, I’m not going anywhere.”

The Bishop went on to claim the government was using Kenya Railways as a tool and expressed pity for their families. She concluded by referencing a Bible verse about healing and declared her faith would prevail
