Blackout could impact Nairobi and nine other counties on Thursday

Kenya Power has announced a scheduled blackout on Thursday, March 13, 2024, to facilitate maintenance and upgrade of power lines across various counties.

In Nairobi County, the blackout will affect parts of Dagoretti Rd, World Vision, Nandi Rd, STECOL Karen, and other areas from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Machakos County will experience power interruptions in areas such as Kenya Israel, Makyau, and Mutuku Ngei during the same period.

Kajiado County, including Maasai Lodge Rd and Nazarene University, will have no electricity from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Uasin Gichu County will witness blackout in Lingwai, Bindura, and Kipkabus Naiberi Resort from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Busia County will experience power outages in Maseno Village, Bugengi Catholic Church, and St. Peters’ Ojamong’ from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Kisii County will be affected in areas like Menyinkwa and Kameji from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Migori County, including Migori Airstrip and Kehancha Town, will have no electricity from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Nyeri County will witness power interruptions in Mathenge Technical Institute and Mahiga Girls Sch from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Kiambu County will experience power outage in Tilisi and Sigona Valley Est from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Tilisi, Chunga Mali, Sigona Valley Est, Rironi Shopping Center, Acre Tano, Mirithu, Nduma, Gatimu, Ngecha, and nearby customers are among the places impacted.

Kitui County will have blackout in Mayuni, Ngongoni, and Kyondoni from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
