Brace For Downpours! Kenya To See Continued Rainfall Across Various Regions

Heads up, Kenyans! The Kenya Meteorological Department is warning of persistent rain across the country from today, December 5th, until December 11th, 2023.

Buckle up for wet days in Central Highlands, Western Kenya, the Lake Victoria Basin, South Eastern lowlands, and the Coast. Be prepared for isolated storms and heavy rainfall, especially in parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Southeastern lowlands.

While you gear up for the showers, brace yourself for scorching sunshine too! The coastal areas, North Eastern and North Western Kenya will experience sizzling daytime temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.

The weatherman also predicts occasional morning showers in some areas of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, including Kisii, Nyamira, Nandi, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, and more.

Expect occasional rains to sprinkle the Lake Victoria Basin, the Highlands East of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi), and the South-eastern lowlands of the Rift Valley.

So, whether you plan a picnic or a commute, check the localised forecast for your area and pack accordingly. Don’t forget your raincoat, umbrella, and sunglasses – you might need them all in one day!

Stay safe and dry!
