Baengele clan of the Bukusu sub-tribe will use rituals to identify the exact burial site for Yvonne Wamalwa. The burial committee had indicated that the deceased would be laid to rest on Saturday February 3rd.

According to the funeral programme, a requiem mass for Yvonne is set for Thursday February 1st at Consolata Shrine in Westlands.

The body will taken back to her Karen residence for an overnight stay after the requiem mass. The deceased will then be flown to Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County, on Friday.

Tasked to identify exact burial spot

Yvonne is expected to be buried close to her late husband’s grave. Baengele clan elders will decide the exact burial spot after performing some rituals.

“We are not very certain on the spot but it will be next to the late vice president’s graveyard. Some elders have been tasked to decide the exact place after performing some rituals,” said Charles Kisembe, the clan chairman.
