Evil neighbour charged with falsely accusing orphaned neighbour of theft leading to his lynching

A Nairobi woman, Susan Njenga, has been charged with robbery with violence for accusing her deceased neighbor’s son, Mark Kennedy Njoroge, of being a thief and inciting members of the public to attack him.

Njenga is accused of robbing Njoroge of Sh9000 and a mobile phone worth Sh6000 in Huruma estate on September 3, 2023. She was charged alongside a neighbor, Stephen Njoroge.

Njoroge had gone to a house belonging to his late father to occupy it when Njenga found him and told him he was a stranger at the plot and neighbors did not know him.

The charges against Njenga come after she raised a false alarm and accused Njoroge of being a thief. This led to a mob attack on Njoroge, who was seriously wounded.
