Kenya’s First Lady, Rachel Ruto, took to social media to celebrate both her husband President William Ruto’s birthday and their 30th wedding anniversary on the same day. Her message expressed deep gratitude for the love and support they’ve shared throughout their journey together.

Reflecting on their long-standing union, she drew inspiration from scripture, writing:

“Happy Birthday, Bill, my cherished friend and confidant. On this momentous day, I am filled with gratitude. Reflecting on the journey we’ve shared, I am reminded of a verse from the Bible, ‘There are three things that will endure – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love.’ 1 Corinthians 13:13 Kwa kweli mambo ni matatu.

This heartfelt message highlights the foundation of their relationship and the enduring principles that have seen them through three decades of marriage. It also hints at the unwavering love that remains the cornerstone of their partnership.

Other prominent figures also chimed in with birthday wishes for President Ruto. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua offered a warm, fraternal message: “Happy Birthday, my brother and my friend President William Ruto.”

Defence Cabinet Secretary, Aden Duale, joined the chorus of well-wishers, reminiscing about shared experiences and expressing excitement for the future: “We have shared so many good times together and I can’t wait to see what’s next! Happy birthday, my friend and the President!”

These messages paint a picture of a President who, amidst the responsibilities of his office, continues to cultivate meaningful relationships and inspires affection from those around him.
