Rapper Nazizi continues to grapple with the profound loss of her son, Jazeel Adam, as she openly shares the challenges she faces in coping with the tragedy.

The renowned artist, best known as one-half of Necessary Noize, has expressed her difficulty in leaving her home since her son’s passing.

In an emotional post, she reposted sentiments about feeling depressed to venture outside, illustrating the profound impact of grief on her daily life.

“To everyone encouraging me to get out of the house, thank you but…It’s been two and a half months of this battle,” Nazizi wrote, baring her soul to her followers.

She further articulated the struggle of grieving in a world that expects resilience, positivity, and a swift return to normalcy.

“The world doesn’t wait for the grieving, It expects you to bounce back. See things positively, be grateful, and smile politely when being told ‘time is a healer.’ All of these things have felt like bullshit to me,” she shared honestly.

Nazizi expressed gratitude for the unwavering support she has received from loved ones during her darkest moments. “Thanks to all the special ones, I see and appreciate you,” she acknowledged.

This heartfelt disclosure comes after Nazizi previously shared her grief in a poignant statement following her son’s tragic death.

Jazeel Adam passed away in December while the family was on a trip to Tanzania.

The devastating loss was announced on December 26th, 2023, sending shockwaves through the entertainment industry and beyond.

“It is with profound sorrow and deepest heartache that we confirm the tragic passing of Jazeel, the beloved son of Nazizi Hirji on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2023, in Tanzania,” read part of the statement.

“In these dark times, the light of a child’s life—in all its innocence and joy—is undeniably the purest. The void left by the loss is both immeasurable, and the pain is unbearable,” the statement continued.
