Jaguar Reiterates He’s Richer Than Akothee By Far

Former Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Njagua alias Jaguar and singer Esther ‘Akothee’ Akoth have been engaged in a public feud over who is the wealthier star. The feud began when Jaguar, who is currently the Youth Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary, claimed that he was much wealthier than Akothee.

Akothee responded by blasting Jaguar for his conceitedness and asked him to be humble. She also accused him of bragging with taxpayers’ money.

Jaguar and Akothee Continue Beef Over Wealth

The feud has continued to escalate, with both Jaguar and Akothee making personal attacks against each other. It is unclear when the feud will end, but it has certainly captured the attention of the Kenyan public.

Here is a timeline of the feud:

  • May 17, 2023: Jaguar releases his new song “Unthinkable,” featuring Bongo star Lava Lava.
  • May 18, 2023: Jaguar goes on a media charm offensive, during which he touts his wealth and claims that he is much wealthier than most of East Africa’s musical stars, including Akothee and Tanzania’s Harmonize.
  • May 19, 2023: Jaguar reacts to a news article which places Akothee and Harmonize above him financially. He rubbishes Akothee’s wealth and claims that she doesn’t deserve to be above him on the list. He also says that if Akothee and Harmonize are indeed wealthier than him he would retire from music and step down from his CAS position.
  • May 20, 2023: Akothee blasts Jaguar for his conceitedness, asking him to be humble and refrain from “bragging with taxpayers’ money.”

The feud has continued to escalate since then, with both Jaguar and Akothee making personal attacks against each other. It is unclear when the feud will end, but it has certainly captured the attention of the Kenyan public.

It is important to note that the feud between Jaguar and Akothee is not just about money. It is also about status and power. Jaguar is a politician and a government official, while Akothee is a successful businesswoman and singer. The feud reflects the different social classes and power dynamics that exist in Kenya.

The feud is yet to be settled as Jaguar recently reiterated in an interview that he’s way richer than Akothee.
