Lost his wife to cancer, now son has four years to live! Ghetto Radio presenter goes through hell

It’s only last year that he lost his wife to Leukemia – cancer of the body’s blood-forming tissue. Now doctors are telling him that his son may not live beyond his 12th birthday.

Ghetto Radio Presenter Edgar Ogutu has seen it all. What he is going through is only God knows but one thing you can say about him is that he is strong.

Edgar is fighting to keep his son alive. His 8-year-old boy Kunta Kinte is suffering from severe anaemia and needs a bone marrow transplant before August 2018.

“The doctor already told me that Kinte may not live beyond his 12th birthday. The same thing that the doctor told me about my wife. We have been struggling and we are struggling to keep him alive. The disease is a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. Their eight-year-old son’s life is also under threat from a blood disorder,” said Edgar Ogutu.

House locked

Edgar says he exhausted medical cover in his wife’s treatment. The little money he has has been used in his son’s treatment. His other two children were forced to stay with other people because his house was locked by the landlord.

“Since my wife’s burial, Kinte has not received the required medical attention because I do not have insurance. My children are not at home because my house was locked by the landlord,” said Edgar.
