Nadia Mukami Maintains She’s Arrow Bwoy’s Girlfriend, Not Wife.
Award-winning Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami has clarified her relationship status with musician Arrow Bwoy, stating that they are not yet married.
In a previous interview, Nadia had revealed that she still considers herself a single woman because Arrow Bwoy has not yet paid her dowry to her parents.
“I’m not married. It’s a fact. I’m not married, hajanilipa mahari (he has not paid dowry). He is with me on credit. Niko soko. I think in 21st century, we need to tell our men that kama hujanilipa mahari, bado mguu moja uko huku na nyingine huku. I am just your girlfriend, not wife,” she said.
However, in a recent interview with vloggers, Nadia revealed that they had plans to do their traditional wedding in February this year, but they were postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
“We were supposed to go do our traditional wedding in February this year but shetani akaingilia kati. The rest is up to him, you know you cannot pressure a man, it won’t feel natural. So yeye mwenyewe akiamua anaenda sawa (So he is the only one who can decide to go and if he does, okay),” she said.
Nadia’s clarification comes after Arrow Bwoy has been referring to her as his wife in public interviews and on social media.
It is important to note that marriage customs and traditions vary from culture to culture. In some cultures, a traditional wedding is considered to be the official start of a marriage, while in other cultures, a legal marriage certificate is required.
It is also important to respect Nadia’s decision to clarify her relationship status. She is a grown woman who is capable of making her own decisions about her life and her relationship.
