Newlife Prayer Centre and Church donates food, sanitary towels, and school fees to Vyambani Secondary School

Newlife Prayer Centre and Church in Kilifi County donated food, sanitary towels, and school fees to Vyambani Secondary School on Monday.

The church’s outreach program, which is held every Monday, visited the school, which is located near the church’s headquarters in Mavueni.

The church donated 100 bags of beans, 170 bags of rice, 50 bags of maize, and 10 50-liter jerricans of cooking oil. They also donated a bull to be slaughtered for a feast for the school’s 630 students.

Pastor Ezekiel Odero, the church’s founder, said that the church wanted to help the school’s Form 4 students who were struggling to pay their school fees. The church paid Sh6.3 million to clear the fee arrears and pay for next term’s balances for all the KCSE candidates.

The church also donated sanitary towels to the school’s female students. “We haven’t forgotten you our female children. There are things we use but some of our parents don’t have cash to buy these things like sanitary pads. That’s why today, each one of you will leave with enough sanitary towels,” Odero said.

The church also offered to help the school build a kitchen and store. They also promised to provide transportation for the students to use the church’s laboratory facilities.

Odero said that the church’s outreach program would continue to help other needy schools in the area. Next week, the church will visit Ngamani Primary School.
