Papa Shirandula’s Wilbroda quits Citizen

Jackie Nyaminde popularly known as Wilbroda is leaving Citizen Radio for Kenyatta-owned Milele FM. Wilbroda has been hosting morning show together with Inspekta Mwala and Francis Luchivya for years.

Wilbroda confirmed she was leaving Citizen during an interview with Word Is. She said she will be starting the new job in the course of the month.

“I will be starting my new job In the course of this month, but I don’t want to reveal the date yet because we will have to make bit of noise about it. Be sure it is comedy but am I am changing the role you have all known me for, but I will still be a comedian. The same person who has made her fans laugh, is the same one you will get at Milele FM,” said Wilbroda.

Mass exit

Wilbroda’s exit comes at a time when her co-host Francis Luchivya already announced that he was leaving the station. Royal Media Services head of radio also quit to join Milele FM.

It’s still not clear whether Inspekta Mwala will also be leaving Citizen Radio.
