Daudi Nzomo finally arrested after video beating wife

Police have managed to arrest Daudi Nzomo, a man from Makueni county who was caught on camera assaulting his wife at Kya-aka village in Muvau.

Kenyans, using social media, begged the police to find the man after his ruthless act which was caught on camera and posted on social media.

Ruthless

Nzomo, 36, was arrested at Nguu market on Thursday, with the help of residents.

“Police had been pursuing him since Tuesday after the video clip went viral,” said Makueni county commissioner Mohammed Maalim. 

The victim, Evelyn Mwende, 33, is at Makueni Level Four Hospital. Earlier reports had stated that she’s was an underage. Nzomo attacked her for allegedly cheating.

Kenyans want a man going by the name Daudi Nzomo Manyenze to be apprehended after he was caught on video beating his wife, Evelyne Mwende, like a stray dog.

The video of Nzomo beating his underage wife was posted online and caused an uproar as many demanded his arrest using the hashtag #ArrestNzomo. Nzomo was beating up Evelyn for alleged infidelity.

Shame

Residents watched as the man shamelessly attacked his second wife who was young enough to be his daughter. No one in the video tried to save the young lady during the beating.
