Grace Kanamu, a lady being accused of murdering popular KTN actor Jamal Gaddafi, has denied that she actually stabbed him to death on a fateful night in December

Kanamu appeared in a Machakos Court on Wednesday to take a plea and denied that she stabbed Jamal saying he fell on a kitchen knife during the argument. She has been in police custody since December last year, when the unfortunate incident is said to have occurred.

Kanamu, 40, who enlisted popular lawyer Cliff Ombeta, is facing murder charges after allegedly stabbing Gaddaffi following an argument at Arks Hotel in Mlolongo. Gadafi was stabbed to death on the night of December 11th 2018 following a quarrel with Namulo.

He met his death at a party in Mlolongo which had been organized by Grace Namulo. Several people attended the party which has held at Arks Hotel.

Drama ensued after Jamal confronted Grace about dancing with some of the male guests who were showering her with expensive alcohol. Jamal and Grace left the venue and went towards the kitchen to resolve their issues before the stabbing happened. Jamal was pronounced dead upon arrival at Shalom Community Hospital in Athi River. Shock as 3 key witnesses in Jamal Gaddafi’s murder case go missing 

Three important witnesses in the murder of TV actor Jamal Nassor Gaddafi have gone missing.

This has made the prosecution to ask the court for more time to conduct investigation and determine whether to charge the suspect in custody or not.

The main suspect in the case, Grace Kanamu Namulo, was on Tuesday arraigned in court for the second time but charges were not read to her. Deputy Registrar Kenei said the witnesses went missing after the incident and can’t be traced.

The High Court in Machakos was forced to order Kanamu, to be detained until December 27 to allow prosecution conducts further investigation.

“It was reported that Jamal Nassor, 39, was having a party at Arks Hotel near 67 Airport Hotel on the night of December 11, 2018. There was a quarrel between him and his friend Grace Kanamu Namulo, 40. She picked a knife and stabbed him,” the police report states.
