Tuesday there will be a seven-county power outage

Kenya Power and Lighting Company has announced scheduled power interruptions on March 5, 2024, as part of network maintenance affecting seven counties. The affected areas include parts of Nairobi, Kiambu, Makueni, Bungoma, Homa Bay, Nyeri, and Kirinyaga.

In Nairobi, areas such as Ruaka Groove, Runda Groove, Puffin Dr, Two Rivers, and more will experience power interruptions. Kiambu will be affected in locations like Limuru Tea Estates, Githiga, Gatundu Town, and others between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Makueni areas, including Sarova Market, Kiatine Primary, and Kitundu markets, will experience a power blackout from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bungoma’s St. Teresa, Wananchi, Matisi Water Plant, and other areas will have power maintenance from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Homa Bay locations like Awuoro Primary School and Jerusalem SDA Church will face power interruptions between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Nyeri will experience an extended power outage from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm in areas like Kaiyaba, Rititi, Gatung’ang’a, Moganjo, Njatheini, and more.

Kirinyaga areas, including Mwea Boys Secondary School, Kasarani Gakungu, and Kiuria, will be affected from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
