Uhuru gives Mombasa students Kes 2 million for waiting for him for so long

The president and his Jubilee brigade were on a vote hunt at the Coast on Tuesday July 18th. Uhuru dished out Kes 2 million to students who had waited for him for hours during his trip at the Coast.

President Uhuru intensified his campaign in Kwale, Kilifi and Mombasa counties on Tuesday in a bid sway electorates who largely voted for his main rival in the last general election.

The head of state was at the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic in Mombasa to flag off the first batch of equipment under the Kenya-China TVET project.

Uhuru however arrived late at the polytechnic causing students to wait for him for hours. And to compensate for his delay, the president dished out Kes 2 million to students who waited for him.

“I delayed because I was out seeking Kenyans’ votes. I know some of you have not eaten anything the whole day and others will not arrive home early because I have made you wait. Don’t worry I am giving the principal Kes 2 million so that you get sorted,” Uhuru told the students in his address.
