We refuse to conform to negativity in marriage – Kabi and Milly wa Jesus

Kenyan celebrity Christian couple, popular as ´The WaJesus family´opened up on their seemingly perfect relationship, the secret being ´positivity over negativity´.

In celebration of their ´True Love´ feature, the couple revealed that negativity has been a known home-wrecker, once you let it reign.

Kabi wa Jesus pointed out that despite having two sides of a coin in every relationship, love ought to be celebrated and non-conformity strongly articulated.

Positive aspects of marriage should be highlighted more. We need to say that our goal is to show the positive side of marriage as the negative side is highlighted in so many other media platforms.

That did not mean that they never face challenges as a couple, it is how they deal with them, that changes the game.

Not that we don´t have our down moments but those don´t define our relationship. We choose to focus on the ups so that even when we are down, that doesn´t overshadow our highs.

Mentors to look up to, to be a source of hope and encouragement that a couple can still be ´happy´ in marriage.

We all need role models who in turn give us hope of a better future, a happier marriage and world of love. We choose to be that we refuse to conform to the need for negativity to bring some sort of balance. Let´s love and accept to be loved without an expectation of a ´failed marriage´ as is expected.

From her end, Milly could not agree more because reflecting on her past, comparing it with her present, she admits that the future can only be brighter.

Further clarifying that every marriage has its ups and downs but one´s perspective of the obstacles, determines the outcome.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God´s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
