YouTuber Georgina Njenga Battles Postpartum Depression, Praises Supportive Ex-Partner

Opening up about her struggles, YouTuber Georgina Njenga reveals a year-long battle with postpartum depression following the birth of her daughter. In an interview with Oga Obinna, she describes feeling isolated and overwhelmed, rarely leaving the house.

Georgina’s pre-term baby, born weighing only 1.6 kgs, contributed to her emotional struggles. While she initially resisted support and chose not to hire a nanny, she credits her ex-partner, actor Tyler Kamau Mbaya, with being a pillar of strength. He encouraged her to take breaks, reminding her to care for herself alongside her baby.

Gaining confidence and easing into motherhood took time, but eventually, Georgina learned to trust others with her daughter. Today, dating is not on her radar. Six months after confirming her separation from Tyler, her focus remains on healing and personal growth.

“Right now, it’s not a priority in my life,” she affirmed in response to a fan’s dating question during a recent Instagram Q&A. While open about their past relationship, Georgina emphasizes her present: navigating motherhood and self-discovery.
