Christmas was lit for most of us that traveled to the village. For me, Christmas is all about real people meeting real people, talking about real issues. Reconnecting, remembering, feeling, commiserating, celebrating victories and mourning losses together all in one umbrella that we call Christmas.
I left Nairobi for Mathioya, a little commune in the heart of Murang’a on December 23rd.
In my sizable duffel bag back pack were gifts for the family, a shawl for my mother, a watch for my father and a new phone for my sister who had just finished high-school.. I had promised to buy her a phone once she cleared school and it was about time I honored my pledge.
I got home alright, tired but happy, my phone which left Nairobi with 47 percent of battery life had just hit 30% despite playing music in the Matatu for close to 2 hours.

I know it sounds a little bit far-fetched, but take my word for it ,It makes it possible for to use 20% percent charge for 2 days! How long does 30% last you on a regular phone again? Sorry I digressed, I had thought of buying my sister a phone like mine, powerful, sleek, chic, and not overly big. Just the right phone for someone who fancies small things. My budget was about 10,000 anyway, not much to give to your sister anyway and the perks that came with it were simply worth the money, an F2 aperture on the camera ensuring that all my photos had just the right light and clarity that was enhanced by the 8 megapixels on the camera. Don’t get me started on the wondrous selfie camera because that’s a story that we we shall have to talk about soon.
Now the cream of the cake is the 4G capability which makes the Samsung J1 Ace the cheapest 4G phone in the market. What 4G means is that you can browse the Internet faster, stream content online without hitches and more.
This is a perfect phone for the young,the young at heart and basically everyone who loves a good, powerful and stylish phone at just the right price.
