Mohammed Ali – Ciku Muiruri Defamation Case: Moha Denies Knowing Ciku before the Artur Brother Jicho Pevu

In April 2013, KTN’s leading investigative journalist, Mohammed Ali implicated former radio queen, Ciku Muiruri, in his Jicho Pevu dubbed Ghururi La Saitoti as she appeared to frolic with the Artur brothers.

Felling defamed, the ‘Busted’ creator moved to the court to seek legal redress claiming that her personality and future prospects were ruined after she was featured in the investigative piece.

The latest from the scales of justice is that Moha has claimed that he only came to know Ciku after the clip was aired as his video was meant to show the Arturs’ residence and their other brothers, reports Nairobi News.

In the clip, Ciku is seen being lifted by one of the Artur brothers and placed on a counter and that’s where the bone of contention lies. In her complaint to the court, she claims that she was an unnecessary person in the entire documentary but Moha declined to edit her out as was done in the English version, The Inside Story.

Nairobi News further reports that Moha said, “I didn’t know who the woman was, as I had never met or seen her. I later learnt, through social media, that the lady in question was Ms Muiruri and that she aired a radio show, Busted, on a local station.”

However, Ciru strongly believes that the reason she was in the investigative piece is because she declined to give Moha Winnie’s number.
