Mombasa lights up as KECOBO makes it’s way down there to discuss matters Kenyan artists

Mombasa was totally lit today and I mean literally all courtesy of Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO).

After starting off in Nairobi, it was the 4th stop as they continue to engage stakeholders in the common quest of making CMO’s function better.

For the longest time now, Kenyan artists and other stakeholders have always complained that CMO’s were not serving their interests, that they were money making schemes for certain people while the artist continued to languish in poverty despite being the sole creator of the art being peddled.

This alarmed Kenya Copyright Board and led by their CEO Mr. Edward Sigei, they made an effort to visit various towns across Kenya to listen to the concerned parties in an attempt to create better regulations and management schemes which would benefit everyone.

They started off in Nairobi, headed to Eldoret, Kisumu and today they were stationed in Mombasa where people showed up in droves.
