Music Industry Set For a Major Revamp Next Week. It will Be The First in Africa!

Monster Foundation, Monster Radio’s CSR wing is set to prepare the Kenyan music industry for a major overhaul with a one week music production and deejay boot camp from 3rd-8th August 2014 featuring top Kenyan Disk Jockeys and Producers amongst other established local talent.

Monsters Bass Camp is an initiative aimed at building a community of teenagers learning together while mentoring a new responsible and up-coming generation.

The bass camp is a fun learning camp for aspiring DJs and producers between the ages of 13 and 17.

The blend of creative and technical ability that teens will build on this camp will be extremely valuable to future media sector job seekers thanks to the wide range of transferable skills and cognitive flexibility they will develop during this time.

Throughout the week, the campers will engage in training sessions with professional music instructors and surprise guest DJs/artistes who will stop by to hang out, share experiences and participate in activities at camp! DJ Nruff, DJ E, Will the DJ, DJ Drazen, Mikhail Kuzi, DJ Shock, Dillie and Kelvin Justus just to name a few

Moreover, the camp as a whole will ensemble all forms of urban arts and entertaining arts e.g graffiti, dance, spray arts, skating etc so as to help bring out the skills in multi talented campers

The monsters Bass camp is based on the pillars of INDEPENDENCE, CHARACTER AND OPEN MINDEDNESS.

Partnering in the project is Blu Flame Africa and Subsidiary Companies, the Braeburn group of schools, Sound Creations LTD amongst others.

Commenting on this upcoming project, the Monster Radio Director Naila Batamuliza said, “I feel humbled to be part of this game changing revolution and to have strong partners such as the Braeburn schools and Sound Creations LTD believing in this cause and supporting us all the way. The Monsters Bass Camp shall take place at the beautiful Punda Milia Camp in Nakuru from August 3rd to 8th. Registration is open to all teens 13-17 years of age and costs USD 500 (all inclusive rate).
