There have been speculations about the poor state of marriage of actor IK Ogbonna and his wife, Sonia. With Sonia’s constant social media post, it is assumed that the couple are no longer together.
Well, the actor made a post on why it is not advisable to leave a marriage because there is no happiness. Read below:

Nollywood actor, IK Ogbonna and his wife, Sonia Ogbonna, have not been in a good place for now. Due to some undisclosed circumstances, the duo’s marriage seem to be threatened.
This, however, does not mean that the actor is leaving his wife open to other suitors.
For what it’s worth, they are still legally married.
Perhaps, this is the reason why the actor didn’t find it funny when a follower said he wants to marry Sonia.
IK Ogbonna slugs it out with straying follower.
Lashing out at the follower in the comments section, the actor asked him to go and marry his mother. He missed out on two months of breastfeeding, IK noted.
The follower, however also wasn’t quiet as he stated that the actor’s bald head it the reason why he isn’t insulting him.
In a chat with Daddy Freeze, actor IkOgbonna made some revelations on the state of his marriage. He said no marriage is perfect and also narrated how he met his wife. Read below:
“Even if we have issues like every relationship has, I feel like when we see one on one, we will sort them out. The thing I hate about Nigerians on marriage is that everyone tries to pretend like marriage is perfect. If you don’t fight with your wife, you are not in a relationship. No marriage is perfect. My wife is my best friend first. We might not agree on everything but we are true friends.”
On how he met her he said:
“I was stark broke when she came. I had just finished paying my rent and my account was red. I remember I borrowed like N10k from Adunni Ade. I used N5k to fuel the car to go to the airport. I had to buy Indomie (noodles) and a crate of eggs. I thought I was going to lose her. At some point, I had to tell her that I am a hustling guy. I am just someone that believes in myself. She asked me one question; do I look like someone that wants to marry a broke person?. Then she said the second she saw me, she knew I was destined for something great. I had goosebumps, and instantly I knew she was my wife.”
IK Ogbonna still addresses Sonia his “wife” amidst breakup story
As much as Sonia has raised speculations about a marriage break-up with actor IK Ogbonna, IK still refers to her as his wife. He addressed the rumor this weekend but did not really expatiate on whether there is a problem or not. He wrote:
“My wife is gifted; she is a very intelligent woman. You cannot sit down with her and not learn something; she is very expressive, she expresses herself regardless of what people think or say. It takes two people to make things work; on her own part, she does her best and she will keep doing her best. Being married to someone like me is very difficult because my career takes a toll on me. I am hardly around and available to give her enough attention as a woman, but I will keep trying.
“Most of the time, for a marriage to really work, it takes two people, but the woman has to be patient. So far so good, she has been doing a great job and I will give her all the credit.
“Any celebrity out there hardly has time because we work round the clock but whatever time I have no matter how little it feels, I spend it with my family. It is within that little time I go out with them and take pictures with them; that is when I go for events with them. I go to events with my wife, not to flaunt her but because in the little time I have to be in that event, I’ll rather be with her than go alone. It is never enough but I will always like to give it as much as I can,” he said.
He also accused some of his followers on social media platforms of spreading hate comments.
“Some followers are there to hate, some get inspired, some are even there to do ‘eye-service’, and some of them are there as the press, just to pick things to gossip about. I have had a lot of people that come to me and tell me that following me has inspired them greatly; these types of feedbacks give me joy.”
“In my little way, I try to show people how to love and treat their family and be better people. I might not be right all the time with the things I express, but people can still learn from them,” he added.
Actor IK Ogbonna is the new husband material on the block
Actor IK has somehow confirmed with his recent post on Instagram that he and his Colombian wife, Sonia are no longer together. Sonia was the first to give this hint on social media when she posted a photo of her ringless finger and edited her name from Sonia Ogbonna Morales to Sonia LaReinaRecall. Their marriage was blessed with a son, named ace. The actor wrote that his a husband material on Instagram.
He wrote: ‘EVERYDAY OPENS UP DOORS TO NEW BLESSINGS. #HUSBANDMATERIAL50000000YARDS.’
Following reports that the marriage between actor, IK Ogbonna and his wife, Sonia Ogbonna, is currently experiencing some tough times, the actor has taken to his Instagram page to give a subtle response to concerned followers.
Recall that Sonia recently took the actor’s name off all her social media handles. She also recently shared a picture of her ringless finger on social media.

Sonia Ogbonna says she doesn’t like being termed submissive.
Motivation blogger, life coach and wife of actor, Sonia Ogbonna in a new article,speaks about the concept of ‘couple goals’. According to her, the concept is an illusion as perfect IG pictures does not mean perfect life.
Speaking in depth on marriage, she stated how she was never a fan of marriage and how her husband (IK) has been her backbone. According to her, though she is a very difficult person to handle, IK has done a good job so she appreciates him.

It is uncertain what triggered the rain of insults but it might be connected to the picture of Alex Ekubo and his friends that the actor shared. In the picture, Alex looked like he was trying to make a point but Yomi Casual’s look was that of someone who wasn’t buying whatever Alex was trying to push. He carried his face in an uncertain way like, what is this one even saying?

So normally I’ld see a post of myself and let it slide , but in this case I’ld address it coz it was represented in a way and manner that speaks contrary to everything I represent .
From my little understanding cheating (in general) is when someone acts dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination or even a real life situation. IF YOU GOT TO HEAR THE FULL INTERVIEW (not only 20 sec of it) you would understand that I am NOT in support of men or women having SEX with other people aside the one the call their own . Firstly,sex with anyone that’s not ur wife or husband a sin against God . However,I was trying to say that Breaking a vow is worse than an act we would refer to as cheating(just casual sex), and when I say VOW I refer to a spiritual&emotional nut between two people.
The truth is, Sex in our age and time has been reduced to a recreational activity,and so sorry to say, has made it loose its value in so many ways because it’s easy to find and to get. As much as possible I preach that we should build self control and focus on one person but when we look at things from the rear view of reality having sex without being emotionally attached to the person can slide as a casual event (still 100% wrong) and still means you disrespected your partner (in)directly,you hurt his/hers feelings and worst of all: break the trust that y’all were building for so long.
But in this case I was referring to people that invest emotions and feeling in some other person whilst their spouse falls into the disadvantage (wether you are having sex or not). In this case the other person (your partner) suffers coz now you have to share your time , finance, and emotions that should be the sole rights of that one person you choose to build your life with. Bottom line,loyalty is a beautiful thing.
