Last week, Linda Ikeji’s blog made an exclusive report bout the identity of the owner of popular Instagram blog, Instablog9a. Identifying the owner of the blog as John Ayobami, the blog unveiled his face as that of John Ayobami of Punch Newspaper.

The blog has however, now made a correction as regards the identity mix up. The man, John Ayobami who is an editor at Punch, is now said too not be the owner of the blog.

According to a recent publication by the blog, there was a mistake with the picture as a result of the name. The real owner of the blog is however, now said to be John Ayobami Aruleba. He runs the blog with Tosin Adeyemi Doyun.

Retraction and correction: John Abayomi Aruleba is the owner of Instablog9ja not John Abayomi

In an article on Linda Ikeji’s Blog titled “LIB exclusive: Meet the owner of Instablog9ja – John Abayomi” published on November 15, 2018 John Abayomi was mistakenly identified by his picture as the owner of Instablog9ja.

This mistake was as a result of the exact similarities in the names of John Abayomi who is an Online Editor with Punch and another John Abayomi Aruleba who is the actual owner of Instablog9ja.

The picture identification mistake from our staff was sadly as a result of the uncanny yet not uncommon similarities in the names of these two individuals.

LIB is happy to set the record straight, take full responsibility for the mix-up as we tender our unreserved apology to John Abayomi of Punch Newspapers for any inconvenience this mistake has caused.

Our publication was meant to reveal the identity of John Abayomi Aruleba (pictured above), the owner of instablog9ja who shares the same business address as his father, Dr Aruleba owner of Aruking herbal herbs with business address in Lagos.

The fact however still remains that John Abayomi Aruleba runs Instablog9ja with his partner, Tosin Dotun Adeyemi

According to Linda Ikeji this is the real owner of Instablog9ja

Yesterday, in an LIB exclusive, the alleged identity of the owner of the popular Instablog9a was said to have been revealed as a certain John Ayobami Aruleba.

This news, however, is reported to have caused heat at the Punch headquarters. Immediately after the news broke, major stake holders were said to have gathered for a deliberation.

”Abayomi was summoned into a high-level editorial meeting, along with his bosses and the management and everyone is confused about the whole situation” Our sources told us.

The focal point, our source say was Mr. Ayobami, who was alleged to have another job (Instablog) while he was fully employed at the newspaper company.

John Ayobami Denies the allegation.

Noting that John Ayobami is a dedicated staff member who never falls short of his duty, our source say it is hard to believe that he runs the blog. He is always very busy, so it is quite impossible to run a blog like Instablog9ja, the source said.

Everyone is confused and asking questions. Mr Abayomi is a dedicated man who is always in the office. I wonder where he would get the spare time to handle a blog like Instablog9ja, so I think it is untrue until investigations are complete.

Responding to the allegation, the Online Editor, however says that e has nothing to do with the blog.

While the Newspaper is said to be determined to get to the root of the case, they are said to be taking John by his words at the moment.

Mr. Ayobami, on the other hand, has vowed to sue Linda Ikeji for false allegation, libel and defamation of character.
