Actor, Kenneth Okonkwo Appointed Member of APC Presidential Campaign Team

Nollywood actor cum politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has been appointed as a member of the APC Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team.

The actor, with glee, made his appointment known in a post on his Instagram page. Sharing a picture of his appointment letter, the actor wished his followers a happy new year. He however prays that every appointment they are waiting on this year will come to life.

Kenneth Okonkwo’s post below;

To God be the glory for my appointment as a member of APC Presidential Campaign Team. By the grace of God every appointment you are expecting this year will come to pass IJN. Happy new year once more and God bless’ He wrote.

Recall that the actor was in the race for the seat of Enugu State Governor. He however lost at the primaries.

Kenneth Okonwo and is Followers Curse at Each Other Following Anti Corruption Post

Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has been called out by son non-fans over his comments on corrupt leaders. He however, doesn’t seem like he is ready for any form of criticism, as he chose to lash back at the comments with curses, as they come.

It all started after the actor posted a video of how Ukrainians are treating their corrupt leaders. According to him, Nigerian leaders deserve such treatments too.

Fans call Kenneth Okonkwo out for hypocrisy.

Not humoured or impressed by the post, some of the actor’s followers chose to lash at him and he also, isn’t having any of their insults.

While some opine that he has no moral backing to criticize corrupt officers, one of the followers called the actor a bastard.

Taking offence with the comments, Kenneth, however, cursed at those that are criticizing him.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo is really getting hit from Nigerians after he said, there can be no better president than President. Some of his fellow actors came out for him. Actress Georgina Onuoha who is also displeased with his post, commended actor Digidi Dunhill for slamming him. She wrote;

Words fail me as I watched Kenneth’s video regarding his political views and his comments about the Igbos. Seeing these words from Digidi Dunhill just left me wondering how powerful our voices can be as actors. These two men are products of Nollywood. Both respected and accomplished in their own way. I will stand by dignity, principles and honesty over anything.

Here is Dunhills words to Kenneth Okonkwo “ I want to categorically say this after watching his recent utterances on the issues concerning Nigeria, that I DIGIDI DUNHILL regrets knowing this man whose picture appears here. I am aware that we have freedom of speech, beliefs and association, but I see no freedom in what kills mothers, children, fathers, brothers and sisters. When you are supposed to be the voice of the unheared ,but because of selfish gains decided to be a voice of the heared speaking against the unheared.That day you became a disgrace to Igbo race, a Judas to Nigerians, an embarrassment to your fans, a betrayer to politicians, a traitor to your kinsmen, an insult to Nollywood and a cancarworm to manhood. Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo, who had earlier announced his intention to run for the seat of the Governor of Enugu state, has unveiled his campaign posters.

The actor, who is also a producer and philanthropist had earlier flagged off his campaign with the immediate past governor, Sullivan Chime, in attendance.

Unveiling his poster, he wrote;

Without God I can do nothing but with Him I can do all things because He strengthens me. Join the wining team. By the grace of God, I am the next Governor of Enugu State.

Born in Nsukka on the 6th of November, 1965, the actor is currently 52 years old. He has made several landmarks in the Nigerian movie industry. He is most known for his movies like Living in Bondage, Dumebi the Dirty Girl and many others.

Kenneth Okonkwo joins the list of entertainers that have ventured into politics.

Ace Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo has declared his intention to run for the governorship of Enugu state.

The actor publicly declared his intentions as he shared pictures of himself and some party leaders. He is set to contest under the platform of the All Progressive People’s Congress (APC).

He has the support of the state’s immediate past governor; Sullivan Chime.

Just declared my intention to contest for the Governorship candidate of APC in Enugu State. It was heart warming to receive the blessings of the immediate past Governor of Enugu State,His Excellency, Gov Sullivan Chime. To God be the glory. He wrote.
