In the picture, the revered footballer is seen reading bedtime stories to his daughters as they listen keenly. He, however, shared the picture with a lovely caption. The time spent with his daughters are his most treasured trophies, he wrote.

Nigerian Super Eagles’ captain John Mikel Obi is currently in Nigeria with his Russian partner, Olga Diyachenko and his daughters, Mia and Eva.
Meeting with his parents and siblings, a reception was held in their honour. Pictures from the couple’s visit has however been streaming into cyberspace.
Reports however, have it that this is the first time the footballer is visiting the country with his family.
Yesterday, Nigerian footballer, Mikel Obi, his partner, Olga Diyachenko and his twin daughters, visited his family in Lagos.
To welcome him and his Russian wife, a reception was held in their honour. The Russian however, danced gleefully to Igbo music as part of the day’s activities.
In the video, she is seen trying hard to match her steps with the tunes. Her partner, seated on the side, was therefore a spectator in the sow as he smiles and made videos of her. Her daughters were also present at the scene.

The Super Eagles captain shared a sneak-peak of his cute home. He posed in his living room and the dining area which are exquisitely furnished and decorated. His caption reads “Home”

The Nigerian Super Eagle’s captain, Mikel Obi’s girlfriend, Olga Diyachenko seems to be having some good time with her kids.
She recently took to social media to share pictures of herself and her kids. In what looks like they are really enjoying the summer breeze, the Russian girlfriend pose by the seaside with her kids. She however, asks why they don’t live by the seaside. She also noted that they are missing Mikel, who is probably away, making money, at the moment.

Mikel Obi’s father, Pa Michael Obi and his father, Ishaya John were kidnapped last friday along Makurdi- Enugu road. The abductors requested for a ransom of 10 million naira but the intelligent operatives rescued the duo. Mikel Obi in a chat with KweséESPN after his father’s rescue said he was aware that his father was kidnapped but couldn’t tell anybody.
He said:
“I was confused. I did not know what to do, but in the end, I knew that I could not let 180 million Nigerians down,” Mikel said.
“I had to shut it out of my head and go and represent my country first. I was told that they would shoot my dad instantly if I reported to the authorities or told anybody.
“And I did not want to discuss it with the coach because I did not want my issue to become a distraction to the coach or the rest of the team on the day of such an important game. So as much as I wanted to discuss it with the coach, I could not do it.”

Super Eagles football star, Mikel Obi has received a message from someone who claims to be his cousin on social media. The supposed cousin whose name is Obiekezie Chukwuemeka narrated that his own father has been very ill and all means to reach to the captain has been futile.
He wrote:
