History made as Nigeria’s Mitchel Ihezue emerges Top Model at the Miss World Pageant

This is the first time a Nigerian will be winning the coveted position.

MBGN, Mitchel Ihezue made history as she beats other contestants in the world to emerge Miss World Top Model. This feat according to organizers is both special and historical one as no Nigerian has ever attained it.

The Nigerian beauty queen automatically booked a space for herself in the top 40 with this.

Miss Thailand, Patlada Kulphaktanaphat, finished in second place while Miss Croatia, Tea Mlinari, and Miss People’s China, finished in third and fourth places respectively.

Others at the top 30 are: Miss Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Colombia, Cote d’Ivoire, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, France, Guadeloupe, Guinea, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Israel, Kenya, Korea, Mexico, Mongolia, Montenegro, Nepal, Panama, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine and Venezuela.

Miss Nigeria 2017 has been in China for this year’s edition of the Miss World pageant and it is good news that she has been representing amazingly well.

Current Miss Nigeria, Ugochi Ihezue has been in China for the Miss World beauty pageant which is billed to take place later this month. Just as she has promised, she has made an important duty of updating the public of her journey to wearing the crown as the most beautiful girl in the world and in a commendable way, she has done well so far.

Chimelong Parade

Attending the Chimelong Parade, in a National Coat of Arms inspired costume, she gave reasons for her choice of costume…

Was a fun-filled day at the Chimelong parade. So many colorful and beautiful costumes by my fellow contestants from all over the world.
Due to crisis and disunity going on now in our country Nigeria I decided not to use any tribes traditional attire but instead drew my inspiration from our National Coat of Arms.

The last line of the first stanza of our National Anthem says: ”One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity”; and the last line of the second stanza says: ”To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign”.

I hope and pray that our nation be bound in peace and unity and we, the beautiful people of this great nation find justice and peace.

IBC GALA

Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2017 Off to Fly the Nigerian Flag in China

As beauty queens from one hundred and twenty countries across the world converge in China to compete for the crown of the Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Nigeria’s finest join other queens in a bid to bring the crown home.

Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, 2017, Mitchel Ihezue took to her Instagram page to announce that she is off to China to represent Nigeria at the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant which is slated to hold on the 18th of November, 2017 at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China.

Today it begins; my journey to represent Nigeria at the Miss world pageant, to showcase to the world what Nigeria is all about and the stuff that she’s made of. To represent her people, her values, her culture and her diversity. And this wouldn’t have been possible without the love and devoted support of my fellow Nigerians.
A few weeks ago, the first phase of this journey began with me being honoured with the MBGN title, now it continues as I contest for the Miss world title.
I solemnly promise to put in my very best and to represent each and everyone of you accordingly and to the best of my ability. And with your continuous support, I promise not to let you down.
For the next one month, I will carry you all through this journey and hopefully it will be an amazing experience for us all.
