Davido and Tiwa Savage Make MTV EMA Nomination List

The MTV EMA (European Music Awards) have shortlisted six singers from Africa, for the Best African Act category. Among the nominated are Nigeria’s Davido and Tiwa Savage. Others in the category are, Distruction Boyz (South Africa), Fally Ipupa (DRC), Nyanshinski (Kenya) and Shekinah (South Africa).

The award is scheduled to hold at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, Barakaldo, Biscay on Sunday, the 4th of November.

2017 MTV EMA Nomination List Unveiled, Davido and Wizkid Nominated as Best African Act

The nomination list for the 2017 edition of the MTV European Music Awards which is scheduled to hold on the 12th of December has just been released and Wizkid and Davido are nominated as best African acts.

Other African musicians in that category are: South Africa’s Babes Wodumo & Nasty C, Angola’s C4 Pedro and Kenya’s Nyashinksi.

The show which is to be hosted by Rita Ora has Taylor Swift bagging the highest number of nominations. This year, the Best Male and female Artist category has been collapsed into one with Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, Miley Cyrus, Shawn Mendes and Taylor Swiftas the nominees.
