“Please Forgive me and Let me Move on,” Paul Okoye Apologizes to Fans

“I was very stupid.”

On the feud between the Okoye twins, Paul Okoye finally speaks up. Though he refused to go into much details, the singer said he was stupid for bringing his family issues to the public. He said he wasn’t himself at the moment he almost came to blows with his brother, he couldn’t stand him he said but now he feels stupid and doesn’t wish to spark more flames.

This was in an interview with Paul while in a chat with Olisa Adibua on BeatFM where he was asked about his family drama with his brothers Peter and Jude.

Recall that the brothers almost came to blows in their lawyer, Festus Keyamo’s office.

Though the twin refused to dwell on issues bordering on the defunct P-square group, he said he doesn’t know if he will ever collaborate with his twin for P-square again.

He went further to apologize to his fans saying:

“My fans, take heart. As e dey break my heart, na so e dey break una heart.

I think I was very stupid, in that aspect. Something got into me. I couldn’t stand him. But what I did, I regretted it. Please forgive me for that and let me move on.”

He concluded by saying that every family faces its own issues:

“Everybody has problems in their families, everyone has issues,”  he said.

Earlier, in an interview with Inspiration FM, Peter Okoye gave his own side of the breakup story. He described the breakup as a possible blessing in disguise. (Read here). He added that he was doing his best to settle with his family but they are not ready.

Family is more important.

One of the estranged P-Square duo, Peter Okoye talks about their breakup. This was at an interview with Inspiration FM where he fielded phone calls from fans.

Giving explanations to fans, the singer said he was telling the story so that people will know what really happened. He said that family is more important than business and singing together is breaking their relationship which he doesn’t want. The singer added that he is done with doing business (Singing) with family.

“It is not about doing business together that really matters because that’s what you guys know but think about family,” he said.

This could be a blessing in disguise… I’m not trying to break the family or make anyone look bad… I don’t hate anybody and I’m not trying to make my brothers feel bad… I wish everybody the best… Everybody is doing well now, let’s just keep it that way… I came out to sing alone to show people I can sing because if I hadn’t done so people will keep thinking otherwise… My mother, if she was alive, would have said we should remain together but not do music (business) together… I’m doing my best to settle with my family but they (family) are not ready… However, for the business aspect, I’m done.
