On Sunday the 9th of December, singer, Small Doctor, locked the Agege staduim down as he had his first headlined concert tagged ‘Omo Better Concert’.

Following the massive success recorded at the star studded show, the singer in a chat with E-Daily speaks. According to him, the Agege stadium was not a very welcomed venue by some of his close pals. When he announced the venue, people laughed at him, she said.

Small Doctor had a successful show despite some setbacks.

Even though he was arrested by men of the Nigerian Police Force, few days to the show, the was able to pull it through.

Here is what he had to say:

When I picked Agege Stadium as the venue for ‘Omo Better Concert’ which was announced in less than a month to the date, my friends and people around me thought it was a joke, nobody believed it will be sold out but I believed in God and my fans to make it work; they never let me down. A very big thank you to my mother and everyone that showed me love, God bless. Iyanu ma shele soonest.

Small Doctor is a crowd leaser with die hard fans in Lagos Mainland and across the country. Taking his concert to the grassroots is however, a welcomed idea.

Nigerian singer, Small Doctor, who was earlier this week, arrested for what was termed illegal possession of firearm, has spoken on the case.

Having being released by the Ebute Meta magistrate court on Tuesday, the singer termed what happened as a misunderstanding.

Small Doctor says he will not be involved in illegality.

According to the singer, he will not involve himself with tings that are not legal. Young people look up to him, he said. He however, noted that he was surprised when he heard reports that he was carrying an unlicensed gun.

It was a case of misunderstanding and everything is settled. My fans need to know that I will not get involved in any illegality. The younger ones look up to me for hope and I will never let them down

as I said earlier, I cannot be involved in any illegal activity. There is no way I will hold a firearm without having a licence

Popular Nigerian singer, Small Doctor, got into trouble with the Police on Monday after he was caught in possession of illegal firearms.

Having been arrested, he was charged to the Ikeja magistrate where he was released on the condition that he will stay away from violence.

Small Doctor reassures his fans after release.

Following his release, the singer has now taken to Twitter that thanks his fans for their love and positive vibes. He however noted that he is doing great.

He wrote:

His first major headlined concert comes up on the 9th of December.

Nigerian singer, Small Doctor who was arrested on Monday for illegal possession of firearm and for threatening to shoot a Police officer, has been released.

This is coming after the singer was arraigned at the Ebute Metta Magistrate court on Tuesday. Releasing him on the terms that he will stay out of violence for the next one year. The court however, says he will not be spared if he does.

Small Doctor was released with the other occupants of his car.

‘Small Doctor was released by the court and allowed to go on condition he must not engage in any act of violence or commit any offense within the next one year. If he does, the court would not spare him’.

This is coming shortly before his first headlined concert. It is scheduled to hold on the 9th of December, in Agege.

Yesterday, the 3rd of December, Nigerian streets pop star, Adekunle Temitope, popularly known as Small Doctor, was arrested and paraded by the Lagos State Police.

According to reports, he was nabbed for illegal possession of firearm. This was after he was said to have threatened to shoot a police officer.

Small Doctor paraded by the police alongside four others.

According to a statement by the Police PRO, Edgal Imohimi, the singer was under investigation, prior to his arrest. He was said to have fired live ammunition at the Agege stadium after his performance on the 27th of November. Pellets from the gun were however, said to have injured four people. The casualties were rushed to the hospital while Small Doctor was questioned by the CID.

The Police PRO however said the singer will be prosecuted.

It was alleged that some unknown men, four of them, in an unregistered green SUV had brought out a gun and threatened a policeman that if he does not leave the road, they will shoot him.

Believing that they were armed robbers, I sent out my men and fortunately, with the DPO in charge of Shogunle division, they were able to intercept them and the men were arrested and were brought down to the headquarters for interrogation.

It was then discovered that one of them is the same Adekunle Temitope, a.k.a. ‘Small Doctor’. They were arrested in possession of a functional rifle, cartridge and some of their personal belongings.

We however, await statements from the singer or his management.

Nigerian singer, Small Doctor, has Taken to his Instagram page, to narrate how a certain Mrs. Taiwo helped him in traffic and sent millions to his mother.

In a long note, the singer narrated how the woman helped him in Lagos traffic. Though he didn’t know who she was, her convoy helped him to navigate traffic jam, when he was running late for his show.

Unknown to her, she saved his career, reputation as well as his whole generation.

Small Doctor says Mrs. Taiwo says his family appreciates her.

Fast forward to some weeks later, the singer said he got a DM from the same woman. Having introduced herself as the person that helped him, he showered thanks to her, he said.

Surprisingly, the woman asked after his mum and asked for her account number. She therefore went ahead to made a deposit of a huge amount of money with plenty zeros to her. Till date, his mother is still thankful, he said.

Nothing that he still hasn’t been able to meet the woman, the singer revealed that he and his family are grateful. He is looking forward to when he will get the chance to fall prostrate, in thanks before her, he added.

Small Doctor is glad that his hard work is finally paying off.

Fast rising Nigerian singer, small Doctor is glad that he got the chance to dine with the president. Mohammodu Buhari, despite his humble beginnings.

Even though he was once a bus conductor, his hard work is gradually paying off, he said.

This was in an interview with Punch, where he spoke on his visit to Aso Rock. Speaking on the rumours that they had each received 2million Naira, the singer said he wasn’t aware of such gift.

I have always worked hard and my hard work is paying off. I felt humbled and privileged meeting Mr. President. Looking at where I used to be, there has been a major turnaround in my life. Do you remember I was once a bus conductor?

I am not aware that the President gave anyone N2m. I was only invited to Aso Rock during the Ramadan period, which I honoured. Have you asked Sound Sultan or Kunle Afolayan and they said Buhari gave us N2m each? Well, I don’t know if they gave anyone but I didn’t collect such money.

Recall that the president had, during the Ramadan fast, invited some youths over to Aso Rock for ‘iftar’ (breaking of fast).

Small Doctor speaks on his journey to stardom.

Fast rising Nigerian singer, Temitope Adekunle, popularly known by his stage name, Small Doctor, has spoken on the reasons why he decided to quit schooling for working as a commercial bus conductor.

This was in a Channels TV show; Rubbin Minds with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. According to the singer, he left UniLag because he had so many carryovers due to lack of concentration. He also lacked the funds to see him through school, he said.

He worked as a conductor for close to a decade.

Excerpts below;

I had recorded my first single, I had been gaining airplay in my hood back then. Agege, Ogba, all those places.

“But person no fit just stand dey believe say dem go dey call you for show.
“Those times if you’re opportuned to be on the stage you go beg with the fact that they’ve been playing the song all the while. So I just needed to have some other things to just keep the ball going.

“Despite my early successes by going to school in my neighbourhood, I had to make a living.

He mentioned some of the routes he used to ply, at the time;

“I was a conductor for years, almost a decade, From Agege to Ikeja, Ikeja to Maryland, Maryland to Yaba.
“I shuttled that place for like three to four years. I moved to Oshodi to Mushin under bridge. So it was from Oshodi to Mushin, Mushin to Oshodi I spent like six to seven years.

On dropping out of school, he said;

“I decided to go to school (UNILAG) during that time but had carryovers and could not concentrate due to lack of funds and time so I dropped out.”

According to the upcoming singer, Small Doctor has made several attempts on his life.

Fast rising Nigerian singer, Small Doctor, has been accused by a friend who is an upcoming singer of attempted murder.

According to this singer who is identified on Instagram as @jurjiversal, the penalty crooner has made several attempts on his life.

This according to him is because the singer doesn’t want any of his friends to succeed in the music scene. This is evident in the many times he had hinted at the fact, in the past.

The crooner is further accused of plotting with another friend to poison his (jurjiversal) drink.
