President Uhuru and Ruto to elect interim officials across all the 47 counties by end of the week.

By the end of this week, all Jubilee party officials will be known.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto have moved to deal with the growing disquiet and nip it in the bud over the Jubilee Party official’s controversy.
Ruto, announced on Saturday that JP aspirants and elected leaders would meet this week to elect interim officials across all the 47 counties.
” Ruto said.
Ruto, was speaking at the Kurgung High School grounds in Mosop, Nandi County.
Ruto emphasised as quoted by the Star.

The move by the JP leaders comes after creeping disquiet in the ruling party strongholds following announcement of a Presidential campaign team made up mostly of elected leaders.
The move has been criticised by some JP leaders, aspirants and supporters,
Some of the regions where disagreements have threaten to break up the new party include, Nairobi, Nakuru, Kisii. Unhappy officials in these areas have gone ahead and created rival camps which routinely clash.

The move also comes after Uhuru and Ruto retreated to the Sagana State Lodge a week ago to discuss, among other issues, the upcoming Presidential campaign.
During the Sagana retreat, the two were briefed on the various challenges that have faced JP since its launch in September.
They resolved to deal with the disquiet by allowing the aspirants and elected leaders to come up with interim officials, instead of waiting until after the general election on 8th August 2017.
