Rabbit Got Kicked Out of a Club He Was to Perform At

Rabbit is one of the best rap artistes in Kenya right now.

This Friday, he releases his second album at the Louis Leakey Auditorium (National Museum) with a show between 7.00 and 11.00 p.m.

In an interview with Niaje, he responded to a question about his worst moment by narrating an incident that happened when he was still green in the industry.

There was this time nilifaa ku-perform and I was still new in the industry. So, nimetoka kwa hoteli naenda kuingia kwa stage and this bouncer hanijui. So, this bouncer akani-tackle, ‘we unaenda wapi bana?’ akanichuja ndani ya club.

(I was meant to perform on stage while I was still new in the industry. I was from the hotel, on the way to the stage and the bouncer didn’t know me. The bouncer tackled me, ‘where are you going?’ and he ejected me from the club.)

Regular tickets to Rabbit’s album launch are going for Kshs. 1,000 while VIP tickets are going for Kshs. 2,000.
