Kagiso Modupe on how he wants to be remembered

Kagiso Modupe took to Instagram to share a very lengthy post on how he would want to be remembered.

Read Kagiso post down below

Sometimes I ask myself how will I be remembered when I die. I hope they remember me more for who I really am and not for what I do or did.

I hope they remember me for my FEARLESS and BRAVE attitude.

I hope my LAUGHER and SMILE never fades from their eyes. I hope they remember as a FIGHTER for what I really believe in and for those I love.

I hope they see how much I loved my FAMILY beyond the word love itself. I hope they pass on my TEACHINGS and KNOWLEDGE because I was blessed with WISDOM, I am street smart and that you cant take away from me shem. I hope my girls appreciate the GOOD & DECENT father and husband I am.

If THEY remember me, then hai kabi but I am ok if everybody else forgets me .

I hope I get remembered for being a GAME CHANGER and not a follower of the norm. I loooove people no matter their social status. I hope they remember me as MR FIX THE PROBLEM NOW, THEN CRY LATER.

I also hope they remember me for being HUMAN and with human MISTAKES. I hope they remember me for not having pride when I have to say I AM SORRY.

I hope they remember how PASSIONATE I was about everything and everyone I engaged with. I wear my heart on my sleeve.
Maybe I should not have expectations how I want to be remembered, I should let people remember me how they want to remember me. Just as long as they find a little corner once in a while and just think of me

Update on Kagiso Modupe’s book

Along Came Tsakani, former Scandal! actor Kagiso Modupe debut novel has already cleaned up at local bookstores.

The actor tried his hand at writing books after he set it as one of his life goals and was all smiles when he told TshisaLIVE that the book is now sold out at all major bookstores.

“I am a first time writer and I thought maybe this one wouldn’t do so well – and if it didn’t I would have better luck with the second or third book. But the book has done really well. It has sold out and we are already ordering 2,000 more copies for Exclusive Books. It has also won a local book award. So, I am very happy with it so far.”

The book, which explains “why good men cheat”, is already lined up for a sequel but Kagiso’s keeping the finer details close to his chest.

“I want to put the shoe on the other foot with the sequel. It will focus on why good women cheat. It is almost done but I am taking my time with it. Maybe it will release in June, July or August.”

Kagiso Modupe’s book is finally out

Kagiso Modupe’s debut novel Along Came Tsakani, is out. He took to social media to share the exciting news.

The book, explores infidelity in young marriages. Kagiso hopes the book’s various themes will resonate with real life issues facing young married couples.

Kagiso cannot believe that he is a published author.

“It’s all very surreal and amazing. I hope you all will enjoy the book and that it helps to save troubled marriages. And help all the women out there whoever wondered what happened to their lost love or shed some light on why good men cheat.”

Excerpt

Here is an excerpt from Kagiso’s book

“Muzi was tired of reassuring his wife that she was still as stunning in the flesh as she had been before childbirth. His assurances only seemed to make Tshidi withdrew deeper into her insecurities and her misgivings about her body. The whole thing had taken its toll on their sex life, but only now that he had started cheating on Tshidi did Muzi realise that the rising sexual frustration was threatening his commitment to his marriage.

Between the endless rounds of lovemaking with Tsakani, there had also been quite a bit of talking. Muzi found himself opening up to Tsakani about some of the frustrations in his marriage. Tsakani had amazed him by being prepared to listen, and even to give advice from a woman’s point of view. It seemed strange – albeit in an inexplicably beautiful way – that the woman who had just become his side-chick was the same woman giving him sage marriage counselling.”

Along Came Tsakani is available at CNA stores and online.
